OE Style Process Chrome Moldings
Trim-Gard Company Limited has for many years utilized an original equipment process for our automotive
trim that is specifically targeted for professional market accounts. The bright chrome moldings feature a
similar technology that has been used successfully on OEM applications, but it also meets the needs of
cost-conscious professionals.
Trim-Gard's popular Body-Side, Wheel Well and Door Edge Moldings are manufactured with an OE process,
protective top coating. The top Capped moldings offer superior performance vs. traditional aftermarket
moldings, due to a thin, crystal clear, PVC top coating that protects the bright mylar finish.
Trim-Gard has changed the rules for automotive aftermarket moldings and we currently offer more products
manufactured with this process than any other company.
3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes
3M acrylic foam tapes used in Trim-Gard's manufacturing process utilize the same proprietary 3M technology
with a long history of successful, reliable performance on world wide automotive OEM applications such as
body side, rocker panel, bumper trim and body seals. These revolutionary tapes outperform conventional tapes
because they are designed with an acrylic foam core that has unique stress relaxation properties. These
properties allow them to elongate and relax when stressed -even when exposed to hurricane force winds in
wind tunnel testing. 3M acrylic foam tape bonds more effectively to a wide variety of automotive surfaces.
Factory Formed End Tips
Trim-Gard's recent introduction of the factory formed end tips is another first to the professional
automotive aftermarket. These factory formed end treatments provide the aftermarket with a professional,
original equipment quality finish that is preferred on most late model applications. The three available
widths 7/8", 1 3/8" and 2" are suitable for most popular car and truck applications.
